Delivery times:

As I make all the beads and jewellery myself, and most items are made to order, I aim to post within 4 working days of receiving payment.

I use Royal Mail to deliver all packages. Shipping rates updated April 2023

Within the UK, Royal Mail Tracked 48 service aims to deliver within 2-3 days. Special Delivery guarantees delivery by 1pm the following day, but somebody must be home to accept the parcel. (please remember that I still need up to 4 days to make your jewellery)

Royal Mail aim to deliver to addresses in Europe within 3-5 working days, and to the Rest of the World within 5-7 working days.

Please note, all these delivery times are approximate, and are additional to the 3-4 days I need to make your item.

EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS

Due to complicated VAT rules I have set up my Etsy shop to take orders from EU customers. Etsy will handle the VAT requirements and delivery should be straightforward. All my products are not listed on Etsy but I can add a custom Etsy listing for you if you see something on this website that you want to buy.

Customs Duty and Import Charges:

International packages may incur extra charges before they can be delivered. We have no control over this and all charges are the responsibility of the customer. Please check with your country's border control for more information.

Returns:

If you change your mind about a purchase you can return your items up to 14 days after receipt for a refund or exchange. Items must be in the same condition as received and in their original package.

For hygiene reason, earrings cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty.

I will process your refund within 5 days of receiving your return. The customer is liable for the cost of return.

Please contact me to let me know you will be returning the item before you post it.

If your items arrive damaged or faulty, please contact me as soon as possible to arrange a return. In this instance I will also refund the cost of returning the item.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Please note, I can only accept returns or exchanges of items ordered directly from my website. I will ask you for the order number, or the name or email address that was used to place the order. If the item was bought from a shop that stocks my jewellery you will need to contact the shop directly about a return.

How to Return an Item:

I recommend using Royal Mail Tracked 48 (without signature) service if you are returning an item to me. Unless the package is of very high value I don't think you need to use Special Delivery. If your return qualifies for me to cover the cost of return postage I will only refund Tracked 48 price, not Special Delivery, unless agreed beforehand.

Check the label on the box that I sent your jewellery in and you will see the weight and whether it's a Large Letter or Small Parcel. If it's a small parcel that is usually because there is a jewellery box inside, please don't return the jewellery box to me. Wrap the jewellery in a soft wrapper such as kitchen roll or tissue, and put it in a smaller large letter size envelope or box to return it. If I sent it to you as a Large Letter you can reuse this box to return to me, either stick the new label over the old one or wrap in paper. Make sure you tape the box closed securely.

Note: if you do return the jewellery box to me I won't send it back to you as I will only return your item as a Large Letter.

My return address is also on the outer box.

Using the online Royal Mail form, select size and weight, put in my address and email address (julie @ beachartglass.com without spaces) and your address. It will assume you want the package to be collected from your home and if you don't have a printer this is the best option as the postie will bring a label to you.

If you want to drop the package off at a post office you will need to select this option on the checkout page and print the label and stick it onto the package.

The price should be around £2.70 for a large letter or £3.29 for a small parcel.

Outer Packaging:

I am very mindful of the environment and have banished all new single-use plastic (bubble wrap!) from my parcels. Boxed jewellery will be sent to you carefully wrapped with tissue paper, and I always pop a little leaflet in there to explain how our products are made – this is particularly helpful if the item you ordered is to be a gift.

Smaller items such as light pulls and charms will be wrapped in tissue and a padded envelope or posting box. Every effort is taken to ensure your order arrives safe and sound, but if you experience any problem or delay, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I may occasionally recycle packaging.

Jewellery Boxes:

Most of my jewellery can include the option of a branded, reusable and recyclable box, unless stated on the product description that it will be presented on a card or in a pouch. My jewellery is a luxury product enhanced by beautiful packaging and I expect that you will want to keep your jewellery in the box when its not being worn.

If you don't want a jewellery box but the product listing automatically includes it, please contact me before purchase and I can adjust your order.
