Due to the "striking" nature of red transparent glass there will always be some variation in the opacity of red beads, as can be seen in the photos, some hearts are more opaque than others. I aim for consistency and weed out the palest ones but these differences are what make working with glass so fascinating.
The heart measures approx 12mm wide.
