Glass Bead Making Classes

No previous experience necessary, this workshop is aimed at absolute beginners.
The workshops are held in Malvern, Worcestershire, UK, WR14 2RG. Julie's small studio has room for up to 3 friends to melt glass together.
Julie Fountain started making glass lampwork beads in 2007, and this hobby became a full-time job in 2010. She has since gone on to excel in her skills and showcase her outstanding talents at the UK Flame Off, becoming a representative of Trollbeads as their accredited Lampworker, and making her own bespoke glass bead jewellery for Beach Art Glass.
“Helping people make their first glass beads is magical – I love to see their excitement as they realise they can do it too. We all know beads don’t actually grow on trees but seriously, who knew you could make them yourself?!” - Julie Fountain
"Not just for girls!"

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the workshop and when does it take place?

Do I keep the beads I make?
Of course! You get all the beads you make, plus my demo beads. They have to be cooled slowly (annealed for strength) in my kiln so you don't actually get to take them home on the day of the workshop. You can either pop back the next day and pick them up or I will post them out to you ASAP.

All health and safety equipment will be provided, along with all the materials you need to craft your beads. You will need a steady hand and an adventurous spirit!
