About Beach Art Glass
I'm Julie Fountain, and Beach Art Glass is my small jewellery business, based in my studio in Malvern, Worcestershire. I design and make every single piece by hand, from the first melt of glass to the final polish.
I've been making glass beads since 2007, using traditional lampwork techniques and Italian Murano glass to shape molten glass over a flame. Each bead starts as a solid rod of glass, melted and shaped over the flame, then formed by hand into its final piece.
My work is inspired by the colours and movement of the sea, from soft, sandy tones to deeper ocean blues. Every piece is finished with sterling silver, which makes it a good choice if you're sensitive to nickel or the metals used in a lot of fashion jewellery. No two pieces are ever exactly the same, which is part of what makes handmade jewellery special.
Every piece is made, finished and packed by me, so you can be confident you're choosing something genuinely handmade, not mass produced. And every piece comes with my Resize, Repair, Refresh promise, complimentary aftercare for as long as you own it.
