Help us ensure Captain Tom’s legacy lives on
On 6 April 2020, Captain Tom Moore set out round his garden to thank our NHS heroes. One hundred laps later, he’d raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS Covid-19 appeal.
His simple message of hope – “Tomorrow will be a good day” – inspired millions around the world and brought comfort and joy to so many during the pandemic.
Now it’s our turn to build on that legacy. Friday 30 April would have been his 101st birthday and to honour him and his amazing achievements, we will proudly donate £5 from the sale of every Turning Tides Bracelet Bead to Ocean Generation, to honour Captain Tom and his amazing achievements.
From 30 April to 3 May 2021 I made 100 of these unique beads decorated with a swirl of recycled glass.
I made the beads with a hole that measures just over 5mm wide, perfect for slipping onto your favourite bracelet or neck chain. They will fit onto all branded European charm bracelets such as Pandora and Trollbeads etc. A bracelet is not included in the price but you can buy our own Nappa leather bracelet or necklace to wear your bead on here.
And you can even choose a bead fitted with a sterling silver core. Our expert silversmith creates bespoke silver linings for each bead and permanently secures them in place.

Please remember, every bead is individually handmade and this design will have more variations than our other ranges. We are happy to provide photos of a few beads for you to make a choice from.
The bead will be sent to you on a card, wrapped in tissue paper and a protective postal box.
