Ohhhhh, these necklaces make me so happy.
I love making tiny beads, they're so satisfying, and a big handful of them is just my favourite thing.
So this design is partly a new take on my Shades of ... necklaces and partly influenced by all the short gemstone necklaces I'm seeing around on Instagram and in the fancy shops. My original inspiration for these was the necklace my new daughter-in-law asked me to make for her wedding this summer, hers was all clear glass beads with a magnetic clasp and it looked stunning with her wedding dress. (Very proud MOTG here.)
I've not used any spacers between the beads and it's this jam-packed-beady-luxury with all the amazing colours of glass that really appeals to me. I hope you agree.
Each necklace contains around 16" of beads, that's about 80 tiny handmade glass beads. They are strung directly onto a silver chain and I've added extenders so they can be worn at 2 or 3 different lengths.
There's just 4 of these necklaces available. I may make more but not in time for Christmas.
